“Meditation creates zen. Zen is the heart, meditation is the practice.” – This portion is dedicated to these teachings.
If you read enough, anywhere, you will see signs pointing towards meditative practices. Yoga, Zen, breathing exercises, meditation, Buddhism, ancient Chinese philosophies, right brain vs left brain, mindfulness – the list goes on.
I meditate almost every morning, and have been for roughly 6 months now. Almost every entrepreneur has some sort of morning ritual, a lot don’t, but a vast majority practice some sort of meditative practice. Now Meditation doesn’t need to be specific to sitting cross-legged on a pillow and “not thinking about anything.” That’s some very misleading terminology that’s actually done more harm than good, causing people to go about meditation in an insensible way; you can’t stop your mind from thinking, and the harder you try, the more miserable you will become. But I’m not here to teach you how to meditate, just yet.
In this chapter you will find tools, books, and methods that I and many other people use to bring zen to their life.
